I was at the TN State Convention several years ago when Bishop McKinley introduced a mentoring ministry. I thought it was a fantastic concept and, in recent months, felt strongly led to reintroduce this approach. It would appear that time is short and we need to embrace mentoring as one avenue of training. 

Cover22 will work in conjunction with our Ministerial Development and Training Team with Sharon Farruggia-Paige leading this mentoring arm. Here is her vision summary for Cover22 in TN.

Cover22: A ministry designed to raise up and bridge generations for leadership; equipping students in word and truth so that they may press forward in the Power of the Holy Spirit when it is time to take the baton!

As we teach and guide this generation, It is our desire that they, in turn, will teach, train, and equip those coming behind them, building up effective mentors and establishing solid connections!

Our aim for everyone is to model Christ in such a way in our day to day living that others desire not to become more like us, but to become more like Him. Everything we do should always point to Christ!

Together we become an army of powerful ministers of the gospel, fortifying the body of Christ, and exceeding limits that have been set before us! We do not fear those coming behind us, we cheer them on! “One can chase a thousand and two could put ten thousand to flight as God empowers them.” Deut 32:30

So let’s join together and raise up mighty men and women of God; valiant and strong, ready to pour into generations to come!
